#4 Pop Up Festival for young audience

A duet between a dancer and a crocodile, two superheros in a dance battle arena, a body as a landscape, pop culture and music choreography – the festival’s programme was colourful and made the art of dance tangible for everyone. The festival explore dance #4 invited children, young people, families, school classes, and teachers to experience dance for young audiences in its many forms. This year’s focus was on the pop up pieces, which were designed for different venues – classrooms, auditoriums, gyms, galleries, meeting centres or public spaces – and thus magically transform spaces for different age groups. Since the launch of the explore dance programme in 2018, numerous pop up pieces have been shown across the country and a selection of these were to be seen during the festival by a wider audience.
