Fight for your fairytale
Fight for your fairytale is the new project by go plastic company, which is being realised as a pop up piece for young audiences as part of explore dance. It is dedicated to the figure of the witch, their changing image, their rich history and far-reaching impact. The focus is on the confrontation with one’s own and other people’s powers as an identity-forming process, with self-determination and heteronomy. Fight for your fairytale is a multidisciplinary play that enchants and perhaps heals.
The play contains German language in writing and sound and was created in co-operation with the Gymnasium Klotzsche.
The go plastic company is an independent, interdisciplinary collective that works regionally, nationally and internationally in various partnerships. go plastic was awarded the Arras Prize (2013) and the Dresden Art and Science Prize (2017). In 2020, the company received the RELOAD research grant from the German Federal Cultural Foundation and the TANZPAKT RECONNECT structural funding (2021-23).
