explore dance will continue to need strong partners in the future!
The funding program TANZPAKT Stadt-Land-Bund, as well as the participating states (Hamburg, Brandenburg, Bavaria) and municipalities (Munich, Potsdam) are implementing the project with the three partner organisations in Potsdam, Hamburg and Munich from 2018 until summer 2021.
explore dance is initiating manifold processes on the levels of artistic production, mediation of aesthetic education and audience development. Aside from local activities, which create sustainable dialogue between artistic production and educational institutions, the project also seeks to enrich professional exchange between artists, dance pedagogues and mediators, as well as producers on a wider scale.
In keeping with its ideas of sustainability and innovation, the three partners wish to continue and intensify their work as a network even after summer 2012.
The first work phase of explore dance has already revealed that participation by children and teenagers in artistic processes and the accessibility of dance productions for young audiences are central topics that should be broadened and expanded on further. explore dance seeks to develop new formats of communicating dance in order to provide more people with access to dance as an art form via personal artistic practice, as well as the reception of pieces. In the long term, we mean to achieve this e.g. by touring the pieces extensively through rural areas and throughout the peripheral regions of metropolitan areas and by offering accompanying artistic workshops. It is a central goal of this project in the Tanzpakt Stadt-Land-Bund’s Promotion of Excellence program to make the art form and the potential of contemporary dance more visible and accessible in society.
For this, we are looking for partners, such as foundations and sponsors, to accompany us on this longer journey and to allow us to intensify explore dance even more during the course of the project from now until 2021 in order to give even more children and teenagers access to the experience of dance, as well as to support us in continuing the project after summer 2021.
We look forward to hearing from you.
