Was geht, Erdling?
Two travelers from outer space stop off on Earth and have a mission: to find out what it means to be human. They have already gathered a few facts: for example, that things like time and money exist. They have learned from animated series how humans move. But all the things they do seem strange; the way they speak sounds a bit wrong and the way they dress is somehow strange. A few questions remain, and not just for the aliens.
“Was geht, Erdling?” is a pop up piece for everyone aged 6 and up and a humorous, playful attempt by the two choreographers and dancers Caroline Beach and Saida Makhmudzade to explore human habits.
Caroline Beach is a choreographer, dancer and musician. She completed a master’s degree in choreography at the Palucca Hochschule Dresden and a master’s degree at the AdBK Nürnberg. She has shown her work in a wide variety of venues: in theaters, galleries, off-spaces and in digital space.
Saida Makhmudzade is a dancer and choreographer. She creates playful, conceptual works that are rooted in somatic research. She uses humor as a stylistic device to create space for the subtle and delicate, but also to get to the bottom of serious questions.
