12th Federal Cultural-Political Congress in Berlin

Dance as a space for developing (new) guiding principles

On 14 June, explore dance will be a guest at the Federal Cultural Policy Congress in Berlin with the pop-up piece Where the boys are by Yotam Peled. With the forum contribution: Dance as a developmental space for (new) models, we ask how young people and artists can learn together and from each other through artistic production processes.
In doing so, we combine artistic and cultural-political impulses and include the perspective of young people. Following the performance of the pop-up piece Where the boys are, which was created in collaboration with pupils, we will discuss, together with the production team, young people involved and participants, the potential of an artistic approach that focuses on the issues and needs of young people.
To what extent do young perspectives change existing narratives and how do they influence the creative process and artistic work? How can young people make their voices heard and influence changes in social models? What contributions can culture and art provide in this regard?
The 12th Federal Cultural-Political Congress on the topic of Post-Polarisation? Shaping cultural policy narratives, aims to open up opportunities to discuss the contribution of culture, cultural policy and cultural and political education towards dealing with polarisation, as well as current narratives and future concepts that need to be reshaped.
