Open call for a new pop-up production

explore dance invites applications from experienced choreographers for a mobile pop-up dance production for primary schools, premiering in 2026/27 in Hamburg. The production will be developed in collaboration with our network partner K3 – Zentrum für Choreographie | Tanzplan Hamburg.

We are looking for artists working in all contemporary dance forms (particulary urban styles) who are based in Hamburg, Dresden, Munich, Potsdam, Frankfurt am Main or Stralsund, and who do not primarily create work for young audiences.

In collaboration with dancers from Hamburg, the choreographers will develop a flexible, tourable production for young audiences. A key aspect of the project is the active involvement of the young audience in the creation process. In addition, an engagement format (such as a workshop or post-performance discussion) should be considered from the outset.
