explore dance #7 Festival – Tanz für junges Publikum | 24. – 29. September 2025 in Potsdam

 

In the seventh edition of the explore dance festival, there is a special focus on the pop-up pieces and their power to transform spaces, open up perspectives and take dance to where its audience already is: to children and young people in Potsdam and Brandenburg schools. Together with the artists, we embark on different, sensual journeys, through order and chaos, imaginative worlds, sometimes as a group, sometimes as individuals, humorous, encouraging and energetic. Children, young people, families, school classes and adults can also experience dance performances on the fabrik Potsdam stage and are invited to discover, marvel and be moved.

A lively space for reflection, exchange and participation will be created around the festival: in talks before or after the performances, dance workshops for school classes, young dancers and teachers, an accompanying programme for the choreographers of the explore dance network and a cultural-political forum for all those who want to know more.
