LAURA GARY & JOHANNA ACKVA
Laura Gary is a French dancer, choreographer and dance teacher who lives in Oberkrämer, Brandenburg. After years of training in dance and improvisational dance, she is currently training in Body-Mind Centering® practice and studying meditation. She has built her own artistic universe and teaches children, teenagers, adults and families to express themselves through movement and to let poetry grow from within.
Johanna Ackva lives and works between Berlin and the Uckermark region. For her performative, journalistic and interdisciplinary work, she draws on dance, movement, choreography, anthropological field research methods, artistic research, and theatrical and musical techniques. She often collaborates with artists from other disciplines, particularly in site-specific projects and in exchange with local people. In addition to her artistic work, Johanna regularly teaches as a guest lecturer in the Studium Generale programme at the Berlin University of the Arts.
