Andrea Costanzo Martini received his education (contemporary dance and ballet) in Italy and at the Heinz-Bosl-Stiftung in Munich. 2004 he began his professional carrier as a Ballet Dancer at the Aalto-Musiktheater Essen. In 2006 he joined the\u00a0<\/span>Batsheva Ensemble\u00a0<\/span>and two years later the\u00a0<\/span>Batsheva Dance Company. During these years he performed extensively the repertoire of\u00a0<\/span>Ohad Naharin\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0<\/span>Sharon Eyal\u00a0<\/span>and he began his activity as gaga teacher and choreographer through the \u201cdancer create\u201d program of the Company. He later joined the\u00a0<\/span>Cullberg Ballet\u00a0<\/span>in Stockholm. In 2012 he moved back to Israel where he joined the\u00a0<\/span>Inbal Pinto and Avshalom Pollak dance company\u00a0<\/span>and started creating his own works. In 2013 he was awarded first prize for both dance and choreography at the International Stuttgart Solo Competition for the solo work What Happened in Torino<\/i>. He created works for the Pavillon Noir in Aix en Provence (Tropical<\/i>), Dance Makers Collective (Emergency Arabesque<\/i>), Rome Ballet (Intro<\/i>) and the Pollak Dance Theater (Antu<\/i>). He has been showing his works in various festivals around the World (MASDANZA festival Las Palmas, Curtain Up festival Tel Aviv und AerowavesTwenty festival to name few). In 2015 he was awarded the audience prize at the Festival MASDANZA in the Canary Islands.\u00a0In December 2016 he is awarded the jury\u2019s second prize at the \u201cInternational Jerusalem Choreography Competition\u201d for the solo Occhio di Bue<\/i>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
